Chicago Notes & Bibliography

SAMPLE NOTE AND BIBLIOGRAPHIC ENTRIES

Click on an image below to find sample bibliographic entries using Chicago style. The information behind each images offers examples of bibliographic entries in both the humanities’ style and the author-date style.

The following legend will help you identify each item within the samples:

1st = First note for a source

S = Subsequent notes for a source used more than once

B = Bibliographic entry for the note. This will be found in the bibliography at the end of the work.

<Steve, here is the informationt that should appear when students click on each picture. The spacing was off when I copied and pasted the samples in here, but I did not try to fix this, as I knew you would be moving each set of samples anyway when you set up the formatting here.>
